The Great Sussex Way area of West Sussex has a colourful and diverse calendar of events covering most interests and genres. You can use the calendar below to navigate to your preferred events, or search by date and location.
Goodwood's famous Festival of Speed, the Qatar Goodwood Festival (or maybe you know it as Glorious Goodwood) and the inimitable Revival draw crowds from across the globe. Tickets for these events go on sale many months in advance, so don't miss out!
Other gems not to be missed are The Festival of Chichester and Petworth Festival which take place each summer, and during which fans of music and literature can literally feast upon the wide selection of live entertainment. Chichester Cathedral's celebration of all things floral, The Festival of Flowers, takes place every two years. Visitors from far and wide come to marvel at the spectacular creations which adorn the cathedral.
Family fun can be found during most school holidays at a selection of our outstanding visitor attractions. Nature themed adventures can be found at Arundel Wetlands Centre and RSPB Pagham Harbour, while historical trails and hands-on activities run at Weald & Downland Living Museum and The Novium Museum.
Art enthusiasts are spoilt for choice at the excellent exhibitions to be found at Chichester's Pallant House Gallery, Petworth's Newlands House Gallery as well as at Oxmarket Contemporary and a profusion of local galleries. Art exhibitions are also a regular part of the event programme at Chichester Cathedral. The Novium Museum's exhibitions change every few months, with previous shows covering subjects including The Mystery Warrior, the Livestock markets of Chichester and The Art of Chichester, the current exhibition which runs until February 2023.
Often lauded as among the best in UK regional theatres, Chichester Festival Theatre's programme of outstanding drama, headline musical productions, comedy and family entertainment is not to be missed, and offer the perfect opportunity for a weekend break.
