May 2025 sees the opening of a brand new destination showcasing contemporary art set against stunning West Sussex countryside.
What is the Goodwood Art Foundation?
Already widely known for impactful events and for the impressive art collection built by the Dukes of Richmond at Goodwood House, Goodwood's new opening, the Art Foundation, will showcase the work of internationally acclaimed artists in a beautiful setting on the Goodwood Estate. The Art Foundation comprises two gallery spaces set in 70-acres of landscaped grounds designed by award-winning horticulturalist and landscape designer, Dan Pearson.
As part of an extensive programme to develop and plant the new grounds, Dan has planted 100,000 bulbs and 1000 new trees including a striking Cherry Grove. An Amphitheatre has been created which will serve as an event setting.
The headline exhibition: Rachel Whiteread
The inaugral headline exhibition is Rachel Whiteread; one of the most acclaimed sculptors of her generation and first female artist to win the Turner Prize. You'll not only get the chance to see Whiteread's scultpure but you'll also have the chance to see her rarely exhibited photographical works.
Complementing the 2025 headline exhibition, the programme also features installations by acclaimed international artists: Isamu Noguchi (USA), Hélio Oiticica (Brazil), Susan Philipsz (Scotland), Veronica Ryan (Montserrat), Amie Siegel (USA), and Rose Wylie (UK).
24: The Cafe
24 is the new on-site, licensed café which boasts an impressive view to the sea. 24 will be serving breakfasts and a small plates menu based upon seasonal ingredients and locally sourced ingredients.
