From the atmospheric advent procession marking the beginning of advent to candlelit carol services, experience the Christmas season at Chichester Cathedral.
Carol Services
Chichester Cathedral Carol services are a celebration of Christmas where you can enjoy congregational carols and music sung by the Cathedral Choir. These services are free to attend but you will need to book your tickets in advance*
- Tuesday 20th December at 6.30pm
- Wednesday 21st December at 6.30pm
- Thursday 22nd December at 3.00pm
- Thursday 22nd December at 6.30pm (also live streamed)
Advent Procession
The Advent Procession takes place Sunday 27th November at 4.30pm -no booking required as everyone is welcome at this special service to mark the beginning of the season of Advent. Hear readings and carols sung by the Cathedral Choir.
Chichester Nativity
The Chichester Nativity installation returns this year from Monday 12th December 2022 – January 2023. Entry to the Cathedral is free, however donations are welcome.
Crib Services
Hear the Christmas story unfold as you sing carols and build the Christmas crib. These services are specially designed to appeal to children and young people and their caregivers, but are open to all. Two services take place on Christmas Eve at 11.00am or 3.00pm. Children are invited to dress up as characters from the Nativity (angels, shepherds, sheep, donkeys, oxen etc.) if they wish.
