When are Chichester Cathedral's Carol Services?
Chichester Cathedral Carol services are a celebration of Christmas where you can enjoy congregational carols and music sung by the Cathedral Choir. These services are free to attend and do not need to be pre-booked. Doors open an hour before the service.

- Wednesday 20th December at 6.00pm
- Thursday 21st December at 6.00pm (also livestreamed)
- Friday 22nd December at 3.00pm
Advent Procession
The Advent Procession takes place Sunday 3rd December at 4.30pm -no booking required as everyone is welcome at this special service to mark the beginning of the season of Advent. Hear readings and carols sung by the Cathedral Choir.
Bertie the Cathedral Cat: A Chichester Christmas Tale (family trail and activities)
Bertie the Cathedral Cat has snuck into Chichester Cathedral. Families are invited to find all the Berties exploring the treasures and artworks to win a Christmas tree decoration. Bertie's story is animated online here, where you can learn all about him before you visit. The story is written narrated by the Interim Dean of Chichester, The Reverend Canon Simon Holland, and illustrated by Sussex-based artist Chloe Robertson. From 3rd December.
In addition to these special advent events, a children's crib service is being held on Christmas Eve, as well as Evensong, Midnight Mass and Christmas Day services.
