Which Magazine’s “Best 63 historic attractions – days out voted by visitors’ was topped by the Royal Yacht Britannia, Fountain Abbey in Yorkshire, Culzean Castle and Bath’s Roman Baths and Pump. Visitors rated the value for money and on-site facilities as well as entertainment/engagement and lack of crowds. Chichester Cathedral was one of just a couple of attractions located on the south coast and one of the few free-to-enter destinations.

Guided tours for small groups run daily (11.30am and 2.30pm from Monday to Saturday). For families, special children’s trails encourage exploration and engagement under the iconic spire. A busy programme of events runs with everything from lunchtime concerts to lectures and exhibitions. Visitors are encouraged to join one of the daily services, or just explore as they wish in this atmospheric building.

Chichester Cathedral is open for visiting Monday – Saturday (9.00am – 5.00pm) and Sunday (12.00pm – 2.00pm) and donations are very welcome.
