All change, all change - again!
2026 is seeing our visitors discover, plan and book travel in fundamentally different ways. Social platforms continue to play a central role in inspiration, with TikTok and Instagram being the market leaders. However, it is generative AI that is proving a real game changer as it's now used by your customers to shortlist destinations and plan their itineraries.
The Great Sussex Way community has now reached over 1200 organisations. We are proud to promote our beautiful corner of West Sussex with dedication. Our team is continually creating content, meeting with the press, and representing you all at Group Travel Shows. We share industry insights and best practice and constantly consolidate our collective offering to make it more accessible and far greater than the sum of its parts. Most importantly, we are a referral platform, ensuring that more visitors find you so that your organisation thrives. Last year we referred nearly 80k new customers to organisations across the district.
We do that by a dynamic approach to a fast moving digital world. We recently partnered with Google in a pilot project to make sure the architecture of our website and content, is optimised. Being found online, particularly in the AI generated world, requires structured data, authoritative, long form editorial content and clear trust indicators.
