Festival of Chichester 2024 : a celebration of all things arts.

From Saturday 15th June to Sunday 21st July immerse yourself in a varied programme of live entertainment featuring classical music, theatre, art exhibitions, poetry, conversation, walking tours and much more, kicking off with a launch event on Saturday 15th June on the Cathedral green where you'll be treated to tasters of some of the performances.

A handful of the highlights in the programme include:

  • International bestselling author, and Cicestrian, Kate Mosse launching the paperback of her new novel, The Ghost Ship
  • Margaret Phillips’ recital at St John’s Chapel marks the first concert in over 40 years to use the recently restored original 1822 organ that has been out of action for decades
  • Tom Brown, head gardener of local attraction, West Dean Gardens, in conversation with Phil Hewitt of the Chichester Observer
  • Globally-bestselling and household name to many, author Anthony Horowitz discusses his latest Alex Rider book Nightshade Revenge with fellow bestselling author, Kate Mosse
  • At Arundel Castle, listen as Hugh Bonneville chats about his career while you sip sparkling wine (in aid of the Sussex Snowdrop Trust)
  • Andrew Bernardi's Stradivarius Piano Trio invites you to hear Fauré, Beethoven and Elgar with a glass of Nyetimber in the beautiful location of Eartham House
  • Chichester Symphony Orchestra' summer concert will delight audiences with a showcase of British female composers and a 'Last Night of the Proms' style sequence
  • A captivating daytime concert by pianist Elena Toponogova at Pallant House Gallery leading audiences on a musical journey which aims to intertwine Sussex’s musical heritage with timeless classics
