The Goodwood Downs Course

The Goodwood Downs Course is one of the oldest golf courses in Sussex.  Designed in 1914 by legendary golf architect, designer of Gleneagles and Carnoustie and five times winner of the Open Championship, James Braid, the downland course consists of fast-running fairways, undulating greens and dramatic changes of elevation in the downland valleys and hills, which are both a treat and a challenge to true golf fans  Renowned for its immaculate condition and challenging layout, this beautiful course has hosted golfing greats such as former Golf At Goodwood Ambassador Justin Rose, Ian Poulter, Luke Donald and Colin Montgomerie to name a few.  The Downs has undergone a renovation by leading golf architect Tom Mackenzie to retain the essential character of Braid’s concept while providing a challenge for the modern game for both amateurs and professionals alike.

Golf courses with a view

The Members’ Downs Course rises steeply from the clubhouse, The Kennels, up towards Goodwood Racecourse perched high on the South Downs and treats you to incredible views of Chichester and beyond. With its fast-running fairways, undulating greens and dramatic changes in elevation, it is a treat and a challenge for true golf fans.

The Park Course

Designed by the renowned golf architect and player, Donald Steel, The Park Course winds effortlessly around the beautiful 18th Century parkland, three hundred year old cedar tress and the flint walls of Goodwood House.

The Park Course may seem less of a challenge, but its tricky switchbacks and devilish bunkers are enough to keep you on your toes, whatever your ability. Perfect for golfers of all ages and all abilities.
