With it’s clear, clean water and unspoilt shingle shore, Selsey’s East Beach is the perfect place to soak up some sunshine, stretch the legs or enjoy a swim in the sea, where the water has been rated as excellent. Moored off the shore, are the town’s fishing boats still landing fresh seafood, including the famous Selsey Crab, recognised across the world as some of the finest.
From here, it’s possible to explore the RSPB reserve of Pagham Habour, admire the unique railway carriage homes which can be seen along the promenade as you head eastwards, or take a stroll in the opposite direction towards the RNLI lifeboat station to discover some of the freshest seafood.
Parking is available in Selsey’s East Beach Car Park.
