More Detail

The Chichester Harbour Circular cycle route is a 13 mile circular bike ride suitable for riders of all ages and abilities as it is virtually flat. It makes a great day out as you stop along the route to explore the historic village of Bosham and enjoy Harbour views. The route includes a ride on the Itchenor/Bosham ferry  as well as plenty of opportunities to stop and sample the local food and drink in pubs and cafés.

Although the ferry usually runs year-round, the latest running information is available at www.itchenorferry.co.uk or by calling 07970 378350 Please also remember that sections of the path are also used by walkers and wheelchairs.

Please note that the section between the ferry and Bosham floods when the tide is 4.7m or higher. We recommend avoiding this section 2 hours either side of high tide. If you do arrive at high tide, from the ferry turn right along Smugglers Lane, left into Hoe Lane and then right onto Old Park Lane. This will eventually come to the A259. Turn right to rejoin our route. Unfortunately this route does not take in the village of Bosham.
