In 2009, I decided to leave my humdrum sales job and pursue a lifelong dream of cooking. Together with my wife Toni, armed with fifty pie tins and a passion for local ingredients, I started producing my first batch of pies.
We set up a company and called it Mud – a nod to our rural surroundings and testimony that great food needs fertile soil. Today we still make delicious, down to earth good foods with our team in Midhurst, the pies are handcrafted and based on family recipes.
At Mud, it’s not just the quality of our locally-sourced ingredients and our unerring attention to detail that I believe creates our deliciously wholesome foods, it’s also our small friendly team of Pie-fectionists, who all share my passion and obsession for making down to earth good food.
We cater for all pie-lovers from meat to vegetarian and vegan to gluten-free. We also also make delicious squiches (square quiches) and an array of vegetable sides. You can order through the website (free delivery on orders over £45), or find us at local Farmer’s Markets.
