Do it Yourself: Spectacular Sights Await up St Roche’s Hill
Back to Top of ListWhere: Why wait for an official event when you can observe anyone and everyone’s firework displays from the surrounding area? Head to the top of St Roches Hill (or more commonly known as The Trundle) near Goodwood, for the best views around.
When: We recommend visiting after dark on Tuesday, 5 November, but fireworks are highly likely to be spotted the weekends either side of Bonfire Night too.
Entry Fee: Free of cost
Why watch one firework display when you can see multiple? Offering incredible panoramic views of the countryside and coastal plain, The Trundle is one of the best places in West Sussex to spend Bonfire Night, especially if you’d rather stay away from the busy events. Wrap yourself up warm, bring a chair and hot drink and let someone else do all the work, as you soak up the sight of the illuminated Sussex skies. While we can’t guarantee which firework displays you’ll see - or when - each one will come as a spectacular surprise over the course of the evening.
