Farm Shops

Sussex is fast growing a reputation for fine, locally produced food. It probably comes as no surprise then, that we’re home to a huge range of Sussex farm shops too and there are some that you can also have a bite to eat in.

Why is Sussex produce becoming so famous?

The quality of our Sussex produce is down to two things. Our unique location and our incredibly talented and dedicated producers.

Nestled between the magnificence of the rolling South Downs National Park and the unspoilt beauty of the coast, Sussex is perfectly located to benefit from the wealth of food grown or produced within the surrounding areas.

From fruit and vegetables, sustainably reared meat and seafood caught by the Selsey fishing fleet, to our award-winning vineyards producing our PDO (Protected Designation of Origin) recognised Sussex Wine.

Eating sustainably in Sussex

Buying locally sourced produce while visiting Sussex helps to ensure low food mileage which helps reduce carbon footprint. By eating at one of our farm shop cafés, you’re not only eating delicious local produce but you're helping the planet as well.
