
The Art of Chichester tells the story of how, in the last 60 years, a small city on the south coast has transformed itself into a place where culture now vies with nature in attracting people to live, work and play.
This headline exhibition at The Novium Museum explore the arts, culture and heritage of Chichester district from 1962, when Chichester Festival Theatre opened, to now, celebrating 60 years of artistic and cultural achievement across Chichester City and District, embracing professional and amateur work across all art forms.
Running from 25 June 2022 to 25 February 2023, admission is free with donations gratefully received.
The Art of Chichester is park of Culture Spark 2022 – an exciting season of events, performances, live entertainment and community projects being held to mark a momentous year of culture in Chichester District, including: 60 years of Chichester Festival Theatre, 40 years of Pallant House Gallery, 30 years of Chichester Cinema; 10 years of The Novium Museum and the Festival of Chichester and 200 years of the Canal Trust.
