On your winning weekend away you may decide to stop off at Cowdray Estate. Here you can watch an exciting game of polo, sample some local, fresh produce in their farm shop and have a stroll around the ruins of Cowdray House. To relax, you could have a picnic at the idylic Benbow Pond surrounded by the beautiful scenery of Cowdray Park. Afterwards you could even venture off for a stroll and try to locate the Queen Elizabeth Oak, a tree that is estimated to be over 800 years old!
You may choose to immerse yourself in Midhurst’s history by walking the Town Trail where you can take in the stunning mix of architecture including St Mary Magdalene Church. On this trail there is the perfect opportunity for some shopping in Midhurst’s independent shops.
If you are looking for a stunning view you may decide to stop off at Woolbeding Common tucked away in the breathtaking Rother Valley. Afterwards you could combine this with a trip to the beautiful Woolbeding Gardens.
In between activities you may wish to stop off for a tasty treat or locally roasted coffee from Fitzcane’s Cafe or how about a delicious alfresco lunch in the market square served up by Garton’s Coffee House?
