Have you booked your tickets for the Festival of Flowers?

The much anticipated Festival of Flowers at Chichester Cathedral is almost here. If you have never visited this collaboration of expertly crafted floral masterpieces, don’t delay in booking your ticket.

We chatted to Rhona Scott, Co-ordinator of the Festival of Flowers about why this festival is one not to be missed.

Rhona tells us; “The Festival of Flowers is truly a sensational event – the beauty, colour and scent of 50,000 blooms arranged with enormous artistic talent has such an uplifting effect for everyone involved, volunteers and visitors alike. Having had to postpone from 2020, this year’s festival is long-awaited and even more special than usual. There’s an added dimension to the Festival because of its setting within the cathedral.

Our cathedral is such a special place, and stripped of the usual furniture for the duration of the Festival, visitors gain a better appreciation of the space – the magnificent architecture is at times soaring and yet provides a welcoming space, one can imagine the warm hue of the stonework is such due to the centuries of visitors and worshippers who have loved this special place.”
