The historic town of Petworth boasts over 30 independent arts and antiques dealers within a mile radius, with names such as Augustus Brandt drawing in buyers from across the world. It also plays host to the ADFL Fine Art & Antiques Fair each year, held in the grounds of Petworth House.

 

Petworth is quickly gaining a following for the arts with an annual music and fringe festival that boasts appearances from an impressive roll call of performers from a variety of genres, plus the Petworth Festival Literary Week held each Autumn features major authors and famous names. Newlands House Gallery opened in Petworth in 2020 with an ambition to showcase world class exhibitions from 20th Century artists in its beautiful 18th Century town house setting and has already hosted works by Helmut Newton and Ron Arad.
