Bramley Cottage is a traditional style 3 bedroom house with red clay tiles and Sussex flint boundary walls surrounded by an attractive mature garden, much admired by passers by. The cottage is located within Singleton, a quiet village at the heart of the South Downs National Park close to Goodwood and Chichester. Bramley Cottage lies within the Singleton Conservation Area with many C17th and C18th Sussex flint ‘Listed Buildings’ and a 500 year church.
Singleton provides the ideal base to visit events at Goodwood only one mile away, and is a short walk from the Weald and Downland Open Air Museum and West Dean Gardens. It is located only 6 miles from both Chichester and Midhurst, and is well situated for exploring the Sussex coast and South Downs National Park.
This is a popular area for walkers and cyclists. There is a network of local footpaths with the South Downs Way only a 3 mile walk through Singleton Forest, and you can cycle the Centurion Way to Chichester and beyond. Popular beaches and coastal resorts are only a short drive away.
Local pubs and tea rooms in ‘the valley’ villages of East Dean, Charlton, Singleton and West Dean serve excellent food, all within two miles, and you will be spoilt for choice when it comes to dining out in near by towns. There is a local shop within one mile at West Dean and a range of supermarkets at Chichester and Midhurs
